"Reading is one of the gates to freedom." - Robert Escarpi
Welcome to our lobby; to the bookshelf that will open your hearts, allow you to dream, and unleash the world of fantasy. Each page read will enrich your cup of coffee, making it a perfect complement to your cake; settle down in our café and detach from reality. If you wish to immerse yourself in another world in your apartment - we understand, everyone needs silence and focus sometimes. Please, however, report the borrowed book title at the reception, and after reading, return it to its place so that others can discover the story you've read.
We assure you that each of you will find a position for yourself; mysteries, travel books, fantasy novels, and contemporary fiction all have their place on our shelves, as well as those perfect for our little ones of all ages. Feel the magic of history on paper, discover portals to many different worlds.
What titles can you find with us? Here are a few:
For fans of mysteries, we have novels by Mroz, Piotrowski, and our local author Hanna Greń; those who prefer horror will surely enjoy King. "Violette's Life", "Under the Elder Bushes", "The Miniaturist" are perfect suggestions for women.
We have something for fans of psychological and travel literature (we couldn't miss the theme beloved by us, the mountains!), you will also find classics like Harry Potter or The Chronicles of Narnia. There is Jerzy Pilch's literature, a special late writer from Wisła, and also a book that a large part of our team fell in love with, namely "Letters from the Vertical World. Memories of a Himalayan Climber's Wife" (Cecylia Kukuczka). "Oppenheimer. Triumph and Tragedy of the Father of the Atomic Bomb" is a proposal that gained popularity after the success of the film "Oppenheimer" in 2023, winning several Oscars, dozens of other awards, and over a hundred nominations.
Ps! In the library, you will find a shelf of books in Czech!
"...One night, unable to sleep, I went downstairs for something to read. A stack of books rose against one of the corridor walls. Almost randomly, I took from the middle, as if I were pulling a brick from the wall, a large green volume and went with it to the Sunny Room. The moon was shining brightly, and I sat on one of the wide stone window sills and began to read..."
