It was opened in 1994 thanks to the efforts of people from the Baraniogórska Section of KTG PTTK, including Edward Moskała, who was the initiator of the creation of museum centers in the Polish part of the Carpathians devoted to mountain tourism. The collections are located in three rooms and document the history of tourism development in the Silesian Beskids and The activities of organizations such as Beskidenverein and the Polish Tatra Society, persons of Edward Moskała and the development of skiing, are complemented by ethnographic exhibits - traditional highlander clothes and equipment.
