The Beskids have an extraordinary magic of their own. When, in the morning, the mist rises over the forests surrounding Vislow and the air smells of pine needles, it’s easy to forget the daily rush. Wisła, known as the Pearl of the Beskids, teaches us to celebrate simple pleasures—unhurried walks, closeness to nature, and discovering local stories.
Recently, a place appeared on the map of our city that perfectly fits this atmosphere while also bringing a breath of modernity. We’re talking about the Adam Małysz Beskid Skiing Centre in Wisła! This brand-new, unique space is located right in the heart of Wisła, created just next to the amphitheatre.
If you’re wondering what to see in Wisła during the upcoming weekend, be sure to add this address to your list. We guarantee it will delight both the youngest explorers and adults looking for nostalgic memories.
Modernity with a view of tradition—that’s slow design
The heart of the Beskid Skiing Centre is a simple, minimalist building with a modern form that perfectly harmonizes with the surrounding Beskid landscape. Adam Małysz himself emphasized at the opening that he wanted an innovative place—far from dust-covered display cases in classic museums.
And that’s exactly how it is! The space has been arranged with care for every detail, giving visitors plenty of freedom. Nobody here is rushing you. You can stroll at your own pace, absorb amazing anecdotes about the history of skiing in the Beskids, and discover step by step how the famous “Małyszomania” was born.
For children: A multimedia playground full of emotions
Are you traveling to Wisła with kids? Fantastic! The new centre was designed to spark children’s curiosity through brilliant, interactive play. Forget boring sightseeing with your hands in your pockets—here you can touch, try, and experience everything for yourself!
What’s in store for the youngest?
- Virtual ski jumps and simulators: Children can feel what a ski jumper feels standing on the starting ramp. Wind in your hair and a digital flight over the landing area? It’s fun that really pulls you in :)
- Touchscreens and educational games: Through play, little ones learn the history of winter sports and the secrets of the Beskids’ nature.
- Creative workshop areas: Places where learning combines with movement and technology.
This is definitely one of the most interesting attractions for children in Wisła, suitable no matter the weather—both on sunny afternoons and on rainy days.
For adults: A sentimental journey and a passion that inspires
Although children will be thrilled by interactive games, adults will find a completely different—just as deep—value in the new Centre. This is a real time machine.
Real emotions and keepsakes: Up close, you’ll see legendary trophies, medals, and the skis of Adam Małysz, Piotr Żyła, and other Beskid legends.
Paris–Dakar at the heart of the Beskids: Did you know that Adam Małysz also successfully competed in car rallies? At the Centre, you’ll see, among other things, a real rally car with which the ski-jumping legend conquered the rough terrain of the world’s toughest rally.
The beauty of Beskid identity: The exhibition tells—beautifully and unobtrusively—about love for the mountains, the first pioneers of skiing in the region, and how Wisła became the winter capital of the Beskids.
