From the fields of Kagoshima to the VISLOW Café
Not every green powder called “matcha” is created equal. In search of the perfect raw material for our café, we chose tea of the highest, ceremonial grade. Our matcha comes from the picturesque volcanic region of Kagoshima in southern Japan. Clean air, mineral-rich soil, and a multi-generational cultivation tradition make the tea bushes bear leaves with an extraordinary depth of flavor and an intense emerald color.
Crucially – our tea comes exclusively from the first harvest (First Harvest). In spring, after weeks of shielding the bushes from direct sunlight, only the youngest, most delicate, and juiciest leaves are hand-picked. This is why our matcha is characterized by a naturally sweet, velvety profile without any harshness or unpleasant bitterness.

When preparing matcha, we consume the entire powdered tea leaf, not just an infusion (as is the case with traditional leaf teas). For this reason, its biological purity is paramount.
