Take a deep breath and check out our guide: where to go in Wisła with a dog and how to plan a shared, stress-free time.
Wisła with a dog – where to go? 5 tried-and-tested routes
Mountain hikes with your dog should be pure pleasure, not a fight for survival or a race against time. After all, every dog has its own pace – one prefers to run ahead, while another has to sniff every bush. We have selected 5 varied routes with different characteristics for you. Most of them start right next to our apartments!
The Biała Wisełka Valley and Rodło Cascades (A walk right next to the resort)
Our absolute number one for a peaceful, soothing walk. You can reach the trailhead from Vislow in just a few minutes at an easy pace.
Characteristics: A very gentle ascent along the valley floor.
Who is it for: For everyone – from curious puppies to dignified senior dogs.
Why it is worth it: The trail follows an asphalt road closed to car traffic. The route runs alongside a stream, so your dog has constant access to cool water, while the shade of the trees provides protection from the sun. No sharp stones, just complete relaxation.
2. The Wisła Riverside Promenade (For a gentle start)
An ideal option for your first walk after arriving or for a peaceful evening outing when you simply want to listen to the sound of the river and disconnect from everyday responsibilities.
Characteristics: A flat riverside promenade.
Who is it for: For dogs of all experience levels.
Why it is worth it: A wide, safe pavement stretching along the riverbank. Plenty of greenery, no cars and perfect spots where your dog can safely dip its paws and cool off on a hot day.
3. The Cieńkowska Loop (Magical panoramas)
A wonderful scenic route that lets you enjoy open spaces and beautiful Beskid landscapes without exhausting climbs.
Characteristics: A scenic walk along a mountain ridge.
Who is it for: For dogs that enjoy regular, somewhat longer excursions.
Why it is worth it: Wide, soft, grassy paths that are very gentle on dogs' paws. Along the way, you will pass charming clearings and food outlets where you can sit in the shade and ask for a bowl of water for your pet.
4. Kubalonka Pass to the mountain hut at Stecówka
An exceptionally pleasant forest walk along a mountain ridge, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in unspoilt nature.
Characteristics: An easy, flat ridge route.
Who is it for: Ideal for any dog and owner who appreciates a peaceful walk.
Why it is worth it: The route is wide and gravelled. It runs mainly through a dense, fragrant forest, providing an optimal temperature for your dog even when the heat is pouring down from the sky. An atmospheric mountain hut awaits at the end. [1]
5. Stożek Wielki via the Łabajów Valley (For explorers big and small)
If you and your dog enjoy somewhat more demanding challenges and a truly mountainous, forested atmosphere, this trail will be a perfect choice.
Characteristics: A typical mountain trail with a steady uphill ascent.
Who is it for: For active, physically fit dogs accustomed to hiking.
Why it is worth it: Beautiful rocky and forest paths and a solid workout. The reward for your effort is a visit to the PTTK mountain hut at Stożek – the staff here love animals, so you can easily go inside and relax in the company of your friend.
