"Reading is one of the gates to freedom." - Robert Escarpi
Welcome to our lobby; to the library that will open your hearts, allow you to dream, and unleash a world of fantasy.
Every page you read will enrich your cup of coffee, be the perfect accompaniment to cake; settle into our café and escape from reality.
If you want to immerse yourself in another world in your apartment - we understand, everyone sometimes needs silence and focus. However, please register the book title you borrow at the reception, and after reading, return it so others can discover the story you enjoyed.
We assure you that everyone will find a book for themselves; crime novels, travel books, fantasy and contemporary novels, as well as books perfect for our little ones of all ages have their place on the shelves.
Feel the magic of stories on paper, discover portals to many different worlds.
What titles can you find here? Here are a few:
- For crime fiction fans, we have novels by Mróz, Piotrowski, and our local author Hanna Greń; those who prefer horror will surely be delighted with King.
"The Life of Violette," "Under the Lilac Bush," "The Miniaturist" are perfect picks for women, - We have something for fans of psychological and travel literature (our beloved mountains theme is well represented!), and you will also find classics like Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia.
- There is literature by Jerzy Pilch, the late exceptional writer from Wisła, as well as a book that many of our team have fallen in love with, i.e. "Letters from the Vertical World. Memories of a Mountaineer's Wife" (Cecylia Kukuczka). "Oppenheimer. The Triumph and Tragedy of the Father of the Atomic Bomb" is a title that gained popularity after the success of the movie "Oppenheimer" in 2023, which won several Oscars, dozens of other awards, and over a hundred nominations.
PS! In the library you will find a shelf with books in Czech!
"...One night, unable to sleep, I went downstairs for something to read. Against one corridor wall stood a pile of books. Almost at random, I picked a large green volume from among them, as if removing a brick from the wall, and went to the Sunny Room with it. The moon was shining brightly, and I sat on one of the wide stone window sills and began to read..."
