PTTK Tourism Museum
The Tourism Museum in the Silesian Beskids is located at Polana Przysłop under Barania Góra, at the Baraniogórski Center for Mountain Tourism Culture of PTTK "At the Sources of the Vistula". It is housed in a small wooden building from 1951.
It was opened in 1994 thanks to the efforts of members of the Baraniogórska Section of KTG PTTK, including Edward Moskała, who was the initiator of creating museum centers in the Polish part of the Carpathians dedicated to mountain tourism. The collections are housed in three rooms and document the history of the development of tourism in the Silesian Beskids and the activities of organizations such as Beskidenverein and the Polish Tatra Society, the person of Edward Moskała, and the development of skiing. They are complemented by ethnographic exhibits – traditional highlander costumes and equipment. One of the rooms is dedicated to other Mountain Tourism Culture Centers and contains a collection of pennants from rallies and gatherings.
